Data & Erasure Requests
Last updated 12 August 2026. This is a living document and may be updated.
If you want to know what data we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to remove it, email [email protected].
Please tell us
- The username your request is about.
- What you're asking for (access, correction, or erasure).
- A way to reach you back, so we can confirm it's really you making the request.
What happens next
We review every request individually. We aim to respond within one month, in line with the GDPR. For complex requests we may extend this by up to two further months, and we'll tell you if we need to.
For most requests, we will honour them. If you're asking us to remove a username that isn't linked to a serious, documented safety concern, we will generally remove it.
Where a request concerns a username with a documented concern involving consent, predatory behaviour, or a direct risk to others' safety, we may decline full erasure. In those cases we rely on the substantial-public-interest and protection-of-others grounds permitted under data protection law. We will tell you if this applies to your request.
Even where we decline erasure
You keep your other rights. If something we hold is factually wrong, we will assess and correct it, and you can ask us to restrict how we use a record while a disagreement is being resolved. You always have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
We keep evidence private throughout. We will not reveal who raised a concern.
See our Privacy Notice for what we collect and why.
